Defense & Security Operations with WISPR’s SkyScout 2+

NDAA Compliant Blue UAS Green UAS

ISR. Mapping. Targeting. One Platform.

The SkyScout 2+ is a production-ready VTOL sUAS delivering AES-256 encrypted ISR, LiDAR-enabled georeferenced mapping and GPS-denied navigation, and ATAK-native CoT targeting in a sub-19 lb. system operable by a single Soldier. Each air vehicle weighs under 6 lbs. and assembles in under two minutes. Designed, assembled, and supported entirely in Mississippi with zero covered-country components. DCMA Blue UAS Listed April 8, 2026 and available on the Army’s UAS Marketplace.*

Deployable in Under 2 Minutes

No tools required. Assembles in as little as 30 seconds with single-button launch, autonomous waypoint execution, and precision return-to-home. DCMA Blue UAS Listed and available on the Army's UAS Marketplace.*

One Airframe. Three Mission Modes.

One Airframe. Three Mission Modes. S-Port quick-attach swaps EO/IR, LiDAR, and 61 MP mapping payloads in under 30 seconds with a single tool-free connection.

ITN-Ready. Encrypted. Validated.

The SkyBoss GCS runs ATAK natively with no additional tablet required, transmitting AES-256 encrypted CoT XML and PLI to TAK, Nett Warrior, and Blue Force Tracker. Validated at 29 Palms in live EW jamming environments.

CLIK Lite Integrated for Lethality & Logistics

Hardware-level integration with CLIK Lite ensures full compatibility with Army lethality systems. Beyond kinetic capabilities, the platform facilitates non-lethal delivery of blood, plasma, and medical supplies to the tactical edge, ensuring point-of-need sustainment while mitigating risk to personnel.

When mission failure is not an option, the platform cannot be the weak link.

Defense and government operators run into the same walls in the field:

  • Airframes that take 15 to 30 minutes to set up and require multiple operators to launch.
  • EMI and spectrum congestion near radar arrays, comms towers, and high-voltage infrastructure that disrupts C2 links.
  • GPS-denied environments where commercial platforms lose stability and require pilot intervention to recover.
  • Multi-sensor missions that force units to carry and manage multiple airframes. (bullet point) Foreign-sourced components and non-compliant supply chains that introduce regulatory and procurement risk.

The SkyScout 2+ closes these gaps with American-built engineering validated at MCAGCC 29 Palms and available for fielding today.

Engineered at the Tactical Edge. Validated in the Field.

The SkyScout 2+ delivers ISR, mapping, and targeting in one airframe. A single Soldier carries, launches, and operates, with EMI-hardened avionics, autonomous GPS-denied navigation, and an encrypted ATAK-native command architecture requiring zero additional apps.

  • SignalShield EMI-Hardened Flight Control
The SkyScout 2+ sustains stable C2 and navigation through live EW jamming, validated at MCAGCC 29 Palms in November 2024.
  • AES-256 Encrypted C2 and 4K Video
Hardware-level encryption via LR405/QCN9074 secures all C2 and 4K video on a single link with device-specific keys bound to aircraft serial number. Dark Wolf Solutions conducted live deauth and DoS attacks in August 2025 with zero successful intrusions and zero critical findings.
  • ATAK-Native CoT Targeting
SkyBoss runs ATAK natively with no additional tablet, transmitting MIL-STD-2525 CoT XML to TAK, Nett Warrior, and Blue Force Tracker in under one second with CEP under 2 cm RTK.
  • Autonomous GPS-Denied Navigation
Visual-Based Navigation fuses downward LiDAR with a 9-axis IMU to maintain altitude hold, heading reference, and full directional control on GPS loss with no operator input. Operationally validated at 29 Palms.
  • S-Port Hot-Swap Payload Architecture
Tool-free, single-connection S-Port transitions between the Gremsy Vio F1 EO/IR and Sony ILX-LR1 61 MP mapping payloads in under 30 seconds with no tools required.
  • SkyBoss Smart GCS
    7-inch, 2,000-nit display. IP55. Hot-swappable batteries supporting 4-plus hours. Native ATAK with real-time PLI. Operates from -20°C to +50°C.

Field Challenges Solved

Real operational constraints. Proven engineering responses.

Issue
Solution
Electromagnetic Interference

SignalShield is the proprietary EMI-hardening that sustains stable C2 through live EW jamming, validated at MCAGCC 29 Palms in November 2024.

GPS Denial

Visual-Based Navigation with downward LiDAR and 9-axis IMU maintains terrain-referenced altitude hold and full directional control on GPS loss with the press of a single button.

Multiple Airframes for Multiple Missions

S-Port hot-swap supports EO/IR and photogrammetry payloads on one airframe in under 30 seconds with no tools required.

Sustained Operations in Austere Environments

MIL-STD-810H-tested, conformally coated electronics operate from -20°C to +50°C with 48-hour continuous capability from any 12/28V DC field power source.

Slow Deployment

Assembles in under two minutes, launches on a single button press, and executes autonomous waypoint missions without continuous pilot input.

Licensed Surveyor

Walters Land Survey

Multicopter Warehouse customer

“A 5- or 10-acre track that used to take us all day to tie in the grades and get good control now takes about 20 minutes tops with the WISPR SkyScout instead of eight hours. I’ll make that trade all day. I could have 10 guys out there shooting the same track all day long and still never get the detail I get with the SkyScout drone.”

Sean Muldoon

Frontier Precision

What is your favorite thing about the new SkyScout 2?
“Super excited about the new SkyScout 2. I would have to say the obstacle avoidance — that’s a big ask for a lot of our customers to give them situational awareness and security when flying. The upgraded motors allow for higher lift capacity so we can start integrating more payloads like the Surveyor Ultra onto it. And then the heating and cooling ability — again, giving you security while out flying in hot and cold environments.”

Brett Gardner

gNext Labs

What is your favorite thing about the new SkyScout 2?
“It has got to be by far the active cooling system. We have so many customers that are out in that heat, and we know what that does to batteries. That’s going to do nothing but improve efficiency and keep this up capturing more data — that’s going to end up in gNext.”

Larry Donaldson

InTerra

What is your favorite thing about the new SkyScout 2?

“We really like its sleek new features — a lot of new things it has — but what we really enjoy is the ability for it to collect data so quickly, so efficiently, and so accurately.”
